Secret Sister

I wanted to give my secret sister a nice bottle of wine for Christmas so stitched together this wine bag from left over fabric I had in my craft room and added a bow. Then with the small scrap that was still left over I used on the front of this card. as I was sewing along the thread broke so just decided to put the front greeting there to cover that mistake. It worked out rather well.

Quick Card

Love this new stamp set. This was a quick card ment to match a gift bag I had then changed my mind. I embossed the star to make it realy stand out as the focal point. My black ink is running out so I do wish the wisemen were darker.

Baby rag quilt

The quilt I made for my great niece. I hope to make a quilt for each one of my family members someday. Right now I am starting with the youngest.

For America I wrapped 'hot apple pie' candles in burlap and tied with twine for that 'down home' feel. For Asia I ordered bible verse fortune cookies and stuck in this bag. I looked up how to write deciple in chinese for the punch to cover my staple. All of these projects cost around a dollar in materials to make. Some a little more, some a lot less but we averaged about a dollor per gift.

For South America I put the facts on the back of a card and stapled to single coffee packs. This was so simple...well they all where but this was the easiest. I was running out of ideas by this stage.

Womans retreat treats

For Antartica I made packs of snowman soup (hot chocolate, marshmellows, and chocolate kisses). Africa I ordered handmade beads and strung them on hemp to make a bookmark. These I wrapped around a scrole that held the interesting facts.

More womans retreat

Made this one for Australia.
