cards

Got a ton of new stamp set so had a blast making cards. Slight differences in them as when you cut up an 8x11 card stock to make one and use a co-ordinating color for trim you can reverse it all and use up those card stocks.

bag

Another quilt retreat project. This was a bag we got to make with thermal backing

so you can pack all your projects in it and cutting mats and tools and take it to a class or retreat with you and use the back side to do your ironing. Cool ah? I loved the fabrics on this. Some of my fav.

Quilt retreat quilt

I made this one at the quilt retreat early this year. Again it is one with batiks and I have since put borders on it but it is another one that sits unfinished waiting to be quilted.

A second quilt I did. The top was pieced but I have not backed or quilted it yet. It is a crazy nine patch done in bright batiks (hand died fabrics).

This is the first quilt I ever made. I made it for my daughter Zephy. It took my two years (because I would put it away and forget about it). It stated with a mystery quilt class I took with a couple good friends. Another great friend and mentor was the instructor. The quilt is called Prodigal Daughter (as in the prodigal son of the Bible) you can see the many crossroads she always faced. I pieced the top but the quilting was done professionally

New Start

I have been thinking a while that I would start my own craft blog. Not that I have anything noteworthy to place on here but I so enjoy looking at others that I thought "why not?". So here goes nothing. Hope you enjoy and it spurs some creativity in you as well. Probably as you say "I can do better than that" but hey...however I can be of assistance.
